Lesson 2: What Does Better Capitalism Look Like?
- Explaining what Purpose is and isn’t.
- Intrinsic motive vs extrinsic motive, higher ideals vs brand positioning.
- Purpose & the emerging regenerative economy (how purpose has become the smartest way to grow & profit in the new world order).
- Purpose as the new disruption, beating mega trends such as digital/big data.
Lesson 3: The Circle of True Purpose.
- Introducing the ultimate purpose tool – The Circle of True Purpose.
- How it:
- creates intrinsic motivation to achieve a higher ideal;
- attracts the most effective partners and employees;
- inspires a unified group to innovate beyond convention;
- rewards business owners with “Profit Plus”.
Lesson 4: The Problems with Conventional Business Practice.
- Why businesses go the wrong way around The Circle of True Purpose.
- How conventional business practice impedes genuine innovation.
- How it tempts businesses into pretending to act in the consumers’ best interest.
- Why so many businesses are being ‘found out’ in the new transparent world.
Lesson 5: Being Purposeful.
- Explaining the four types of Purpose: Society, Industry, Sector, Individual.

Lesson 6: The Purpose Hypothetical.
- An interactive workshop applying all learning to date.
- Demonstrating how Purpose can drive profit and social change.
- Students use their own business/employer brand or create a fictional purpose-led business.
- A fascinating hands-on dive into genuine innovation, commercial viability, and the long-term influence of True Purpose on staff, customers, industry, society.
Week 7 (own time): Exam.
A written test to confirm a student’s grasp of the contexts, concepts & tools of True Purpose.
One-On-One Follow-up.
- On request, every student can have a personal course debrief with a course lecturer.
- This will cover:
- Your overall grasp of the subject matter;
- A review of your exam results;
- Your performance in the interactive activities; and
- A general Q&A session about your own career/business goals, including an overview of the School’s Masterclass subjects.
